Harpist Anne Sullivan Performs October 8

Lycoming College will host Anne Sullivan, harpist, as part of the Concert at Noon series on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 12 p.m. in the Mary Lindsay Welch Honors Hall located on the corner of Basin and Fourth Streets. Admission is free and open to the public.

This program celebrates the richness of Romantic harp literature with music by Louis Spohr, Albert Heinrich Zabel and Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov; in addition to compositions by Carlos Salzedo, harpist, and Nino Rota, film composer.

Anne Sullivan made her debut as soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra when she was twelve years old. She has studied at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia with Marilyn Costello and has been performing and teaching harp in the Philadelphia area for many years.
